Effective date: September 13, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Qrerve, LLC, a California limited liability company ("Qrerve," "we," "us," or "our"), the company that owns and operates Resabl (the "Service"), collects, uses, shares, and protects personal information.
It applies to the Resabl websites, the Resabl application, guest pages and booking widgets we host, and SMS messages sent through Resabl. It does not apply to the practices of the campgrounds, RV parks, marinas, and other properties that use Resabl, or to third-party services you choose to connect.
This policy describes our practices. It is not a contract. Your use of the Service is governed by our Terms of Service.
This policy covers personal information we handle in connection with the Service, whether you are an account holder, a staff member logging in to a property's account, a prospective customer visiting our website, or a guest interacting with a guest page or receiving a text message from Resabl.
Capitalized terms not defined here have the meanings given in our Terms of Service.
Resabl handles two different kinds of personal information, and our responsibilities differ for each.
Account Data. Information about the businesses that subscribe to Resabl and the people who administer or staff those accounts, plus information from visitors to our marketing website. For Account Data, Qrerve is the "business" under the California Consumer Privacy Act and the equivalent of a "controller" under comparable state laws. We decide how Account Data is used, and this policy governs it.
Guest Data. Information about guests that a property enters or collects through Resabl, including reservations, folios, contact details, stay records, and messages. For Guest Data, the property is the "business" or "controller" and Qrerve is its "service provider" or "processor." We process Guest Data only to provide the Service to that property, on that property's instructions, as described in our Terms of Service and any data processing addendum. The property decides what it collects, how it uses it, how long it keeps it, and how it responds to guest requests.
Where a property's own privacy notice addresses Guest Data, that notice governs the property's practices. This policy governs ours.
Your booking and your stay are with the property, not with Qrerve. Resabl is the software the property uses to run its reservations.
If you want to access, correct, or delete information about your reservation or your stay, contact the property directly. It controls that information. If you contact us instead, we will refer you to the property and assist the property in responding, as our agreement with it requires.
We do not use guest information to market our own products to you, and we do not build guest profiles across properties.
We collect the following categories of information:
The table below maps these to the categories used in California law, and to how we obtain and use them.
| Category under California law | Examples in Resabl | Where it comes from | Who we disclose it to |
|---|---|---|---|
| Identifiers | Name, email address, phone number, username, IP address, account ID | You, your organization, or a property that enters guest details | Hosting, email, and SMS providers; the property whose account the record belongs to |
| Customer records (Cal. Civ. Code § 1798.80) | Billing contact details, reservation and folio records | You, your organization, or a property | Hosting and payment providers |
| Commercial information | Subscription plan, invoices, reservations, charges, stay history | You, your organization, or a property | Hosting and payment providers |
| Internet or network activity | Pages viewed, feature usage, server and security logs | Automatically, as you use the Service | Hosting provider |
| Approximate geolocation | City or region inferred from IP address, used for security only | Automatically, as you use the Service | Hosting provider |
| Sensitive personal information | Account log-in credentials | You, when you create an account or sign in | Not disclosed; used only to authenticate you |
We do not collect biometric information, genetic data, precise geolocation, or information about race, ethnicity, religion, health, sexual orientation, union membership, or immigration status. We collect account log-in credentials, which California law treats as sensitive personal information. We use them only to authenticate you and secure your account, which is a purpose for which the right to limit the use of sensitive personal information does not apply.
We use information to:
We use Guest Data only for the purposes above and only on behalf of the property that controls it.
Resabl uses only strictly necessary cookies and similar technologies. "Similar technologies" includes browser local storage and session storage, which work like cookies for privacy purposes even though they are not cookies.
We use them to:
We do not use advertising cookies, cross-site tracking, third-party analytics, retargeting pixels, or social media tracking tags, on our marketing website, in the application, or on guest pages and booking widgets. Because we do not engage in cross-context behavioral advertising, we do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under California law, and there is nothing to opt out of.
You can clear cookies and site data through your browser settings. Doing so will sign you out and reset your interface preferences, and parts of the Service will not function without this storage.
Resabl sends SMS text messages for authentication, account security, reservation-related notifications, operational alerts, and guest communications initiated through the platform on behalf of properties using Resabl. Resabl is the sender of all messages delivered through this program.
Additional terms governing this messaging program appear in our Terms of Service.
We share information with:
We use a small number of third-party providers for hosting, transactional email, SMS delivery, and payment processing. Each is bound by contract to protect the information it handles, to use it only to provide services to us, and not to sell it or use it for its own purposes.
A current list of our subprocessors is published at resabl.com/subprocessors. You may also email admin@resabl.com for questions. We remain responsible for the services our subprocessors perform for us.
Customer Data. While your subscription is active, we retain Customer Data so you can use the Service, and you may export it at any time using the export tools we provide. After your subscription ends, we retain Customer Data for twelve (12) months so you can request an export, and after that period we may permanently delete it. We will delete it sooner if you ask us to in writing. This matches Section 6 of our Terms of Service.
Account and billing records. We retain account records and billing history for as long as needed to administer the relationship and for the period required by tax, accounting, and recordkeeping laws after it ends.
Security and server logs. We retain security, access, and server logs for a limited period, currently up to twelve (12) months, for security monitoring, fraud prevention, and troubleshooting.
Backups and legal holds. Deleted information may persist in encrypted backups for a limited period until those backups age out on their normal cycle. We may also retain information where we are required to do so by law or where it is subject to a legal hold. Aggregated and de-identified information that cannot reasonably be used to identify anyone is not subject to these periods.
Guest Data. Retention of Guest Data is determined by the property that controls it, within the periods described above.
We use administrative, technical, physical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. These include role-based access controls, encryption of data in transit using TLS, encryption of data at rest in our databases and backups, password hashing, optional two-factor authentication, and monitoring for unauthorized activity.
No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential, for enabling two-factor authentication where available, and for promptly removing access for people who should no longer have it.
If we confirm a security incident that compromises Customer Data in our control, we will notify the affected customer without undue delay and will provide the information reasonably available to us so the customer can meet its own notification obligations to guests, regulators, and others. Notice will go to the email address on the account, so keep your account contact current.
Because properties control Guest Data, a property is responsible for notifying its own guests where the law requires it. We will support that process with the information we hold.
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request access to the personal information we hold about you, a copy of it in a portable format, correction of inaccurate information, or deletion of it, and to request that we limit certain processing. You may also appeal a decision we make on your request.
How to make a request. Email admin@resabl.com with the request and enough detail for us to identify your records.
Verification. We will take reasonable steps to verify your identity before acting, usually by confirming control of the email address or account associated with the information. We will not require you to create an account in order to make a request.
Timing. We will acknowledge a request within ten (10) business days and respond within forty-five (45) calendar days. If we need more time, we will tell you and may extend by up to another forty-five (45) days.
Authorized agents. You may use an authorized agent to make a request. We may ask the agent for proof of authorization and may ask you to verify your own identity directly.
No retaliation. We will not deny service, charge a different price, or provide a different level of service because you exercised a privacy right.
Guest requests. If your request concerns a reservation or stay at a property using Resabl, contact that property. It controls that information, and we will refer your request to it and assist as our agreement with the property requires.
Everyday controls. You can update most account information by signing in to Resabl. You can unsubscribe from non-essential email using the link in those messages, and stop SMS by replying STOP as described in Section 7.
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended gives you the rights described in Section 14, specifically: the right to know what personal information we collect, use, and disclose; the right to delete it; the right to correct it; the right to a portable copy; the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information; the right to limit the use of sensitive personal information; and the right not to be retaliated against for exercising these rights.
The categories of personal information we collect, the sources, the purposes, and the categories of recipients are set out in the table in Section 4 and in Sections 5, 8, and 9. Retention periods are in Section 11.
Sale and sharing. We do not sell personal information and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We have not done either in the preceding twelve months. Because of this, we do not offer a "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" link, and there is no opt-out preference signal for us to process.
Sensitive personal information. The only sensitive personal information we collect is account log-in credentials, used solely to authenticate you and secure your account. California law does not require an option to limit use of sensitive personal information used only for that purpose.
Minors. We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of consumers under 16 years of age, and we do not sell or share personal information at all.
Appeals. If we deny your request, you may appeal by replying to our response or emailing admin@resabl.com with the subject line "Privacy Appeal." We will respond to an appeal within forty-five (45) days. You may also contact the California Privacy Protection Agency or the California Attorney General.
Residents of other states with comprehensive privacy laws, including Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Texas, Oregon, Montana, and others as those laws take effect, have similar rights to access, correct, delete, and obtain a copy of their personal information, and to appeal a denial. Use the process in Section 14. We do not sell personal information, use it for targeted advertising, or engage in profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects, so there is no opt-out for those activities.
If you are dissatisfied with the outcome of an appeal, your state's attorney general may accept a complaint.
Resabl is a business tool. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account, as stated in our Terms of Service. We do not direct the Service to children and do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13.
A property may record information about minors as part of a reservation, such as the number and names of people in a traveling party. The property controls that information and is responsible for handling it lawfully. If you believe a child has provided personal information directly to us, email admin@resabl.com and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
Resabl is operated from the United States and is intended for properties located in the United States. We do not target or market the Service to individuals in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom.
If you access the Service from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to, processed in, and stored in the United States, where privacy laws may differ from those in your country. If you are located outside the United States and wish to exercise a privacy right, email admin@resabl.com and we will consider your request in good faith.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised policy on this page and update the effective date shown above. For material changes, we will provide reasonable advance notice by email or in-product notice.
